Apollo Battle of the Bands

Join the Apollo Homelessness Collaborative for an afternoon of music, fellowship, and fundraising at Apollo Battle of the Bands on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Baltimore Brewers’ Haven, located at 1 N. Haven Street, Baltimore, MD 21224. Bring your friends, cheer for your favorite band, and be part of an afternoon that turns music into impact.

Three Baltimore-area bands will take the stage for a fun, high-energy afternoon benefiting organizations working every day to support people experiencing homelessness and housing instability in the Baltimore region.

CODEX has honed a unique sound of all-original songs that is sure to please any and all listeners. Sometimes poppy, sometimes brooding, and other times driving hard rock, CODEX is always melodic and catchy.

Water Bug brings a full-throttle live show featuring rock, funk, punk, folk, hip hop, blues, originals, and well-curated covers. Known for energetic performances around Baltimore, Water Bug is sure to keep the crowd moving.

NewRoses is a Baltimore-based band playing original indie rock music mixed with 70s-vibed drama. The band calls its sound “Prog-Way” — a mix of progressive rock and Broadway.

Proceeds from the event will support St. Luke’s Church on The Avenue, Health Care for the Homeless, and People Encouraging People — three community organizations helping meet urgent needs and strengthen support for people experiencing homelessness and related challenges.
